Walking around the alleys of Chai-yi, you may just find a surprisingly refreshing restaurant.
Located in an alley between Cypress Forest Life Village and Chai-yi Central Plaza, Una Italian and French Cuisine is one worth our mentioning.
Una is a vintage house, situated in a very quiet alley. The interior is renovated to be spacious. There aren't many waiters and waitresses, but they all wear uniforms.
The welcome sign at the front door entrance reads "Bevenuto," meaning "welcome" in Italian. This is after all an Italian and French restaurant.
The interior just screams refinement. It's evident how much thought they put into designing the interior; there's a couch inside the restroom, further accentuating the delicate and refined atmosphere.
The chef used to be a photographer. He decided to become a chef for family reasons. He worked as a chef in Go Go Brazil and opened his own restaurant in San-xia, New Taipei City before coming back to Chai-yi.
Una Italian and French Cuisine provides lunch and dinner. There are three different types of meal combos for different appetites and budgets. They offer more options than many franchised western-style restaurants.
The food comes in moderate sizes. We ordered Red Wine Spaghetti with Baked Chicken Drumstick and Pan-fried Salmon. Both were delicious!
The restaurant is located on No. 188 Xing-zhong Street. All french dishes require a reservation in order to ensure the timely serving of your dishes.
Una also has a Line account to facilitate communications with patrons. We recommend using the Line communication to get the up-to-date menu and make a reservation.
This restaurant has relocated to No. 155-4 Anhe Road, Chai-yi.
