After getting off the highway, go to Taiwan Blvd toward the inner city. Maple Garden will be on your right.

This place was initially planned for Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport Chao-ma Transfer Station as well as Convention Center.
After the contractor dug a big hole into the foundation base, the construction was not completed on time, and some legal disputes ensued.
The city government and the city council eventually changed the planning and turned the place into the now Maple Garden.
This is the only excavated park in Taiwan and perhaps the most expensive park to build. It also acts as a detention basin.
